PLANNED INSTRUCTION WEEK 6

This is it! Our last week of school is beginning today! The 6th week of Instruction is May 22 and ending June 3 (the last day of school).

ELA is just like last week. Long i and Long e are the focus, such as i in bike and e in Pete.

MATH is Quarters this week. View the video lesson first and the Practice page second. Then you can complete the other assignments.

Office Hours are Tuesday and Thursday from 1-3. Use this link to join: meet.google.com/mrj-pogk-uvs

Please contact me if you have any problems at all. I do not want anyone to be frustrated over anything work wise. I am here to help in any way I can.

This is very upsetting to me…the last ‘This Week’s Happenings’ for the school year 19-20.

I want to thank you all for your support, help, cooperation and kindness throughout the year. It was an amazing class of students that I had the pleasure to teach. I will always remember them, not just because this year has been crazy, but because this group has been wonderful! I know the parents are the reason the children are who they are, and I appreciate all you have done.

Thank you SO much!

I would like to drop off a treat for each student sometime in June. If you are not ok with this, message me on Dojo, otherwise I will be in touch with more information. Please keep the Dojo app even though we will be out of school.

I hope your summer is filled with fun and good health!

Week 5 of Planned Instruction is beginning May 15 and ending May 22.

MATH lessons are on money, focusing on dimes. There will also be pages on counting mixed coins. Please follow the number order.

Office Hours are Tuesday and Thursday from 1-3. Use this link to join: meet.google.com/mrj-pogk-uvs

If you have any questions, problems, concerns or just want to ‘chat’, contact me. I will get back to you as soon as I can.

Please do not let anything overwhelm or frustrate you. We are getting close to the end, almost there. We can do this!

Thank you as always for everything you are doing. In all my years of teaching, I never thought I would be working like this.
I am so thankful to have a wonderful group!

Have a safe, healthy and happy week!

PLANNED INSTRUCTION WEEK 4

Planned Instruction is moving into week 4!

I do not have any new information for this week, so I guess that means things are going well.

ELA assignments are on digraph sh, for online learning the order does not matter.

The Lesson in Math on Nickel needs to be viewed first. All other math assignments can be done in any order, for online learning.

Office Hours are Tuesday and Thursday from 1-3. Use this link to join: meet.google.com/mrj-pogk-uvs

Paper Packet Pick-Up is next week, May 15 and May 18.

As always, message me with any questions, problems, concerns; I am here for you!
Do not get stressed over anything. Contact me before it gets you upset.

Thank you once again for all of your cooperation and participation!

Have a happy, healthy week!

PLANNED INSTRUCTION WEEK 3

Here we are in Week 3 of Planned Instruction, beginning tomorrow, May 1.

Hope this finds everyone well.

For ELA this week, the order does not matter.

In Math, please follow the numbers to complete each step.

Thank you for sending the pictures. I know this is a lot to put on you. I really appreciate all of your hard work, as parents, to make this successful.

It has come to my attention that the students do not get notified if there is a comment sent to them through Classroom. If an assignment is turned in to me and I give a comment about something that needs to be changed or redone, I will send you a message on Dojo. Unfortunately, there is nothing at this time that would alert a student of this on Google Classroom.

Office Hours continue every Tuesday and Thursday from 1-3. Use this link to join: meet.google.com/mrj-pogk-uvs

Paper Packet Pick-Up is tomorrow, May 1 (4-6pm) and Monday, May 4 (9-11am).

Please let me know if you have any questions or concerns. DO NOT let anything upset you. I will help navigate through any problem or issue you have.
Thank you again for getting me through this. I said it all school year…This is a great class, not just the students but the parents as well.

Have a safe, healthy week!

PLANNED INSTRUCTION WEEK 2

PLANNED INSTRUCTION – WEEK 2

Continuing with this Phase of our education plan…Week 2 will actually begin tomorrow, April 24.

I am trying to keep the same format as last week. ELA, Math and Science/Social Studies will each have their own headings.

This week I am numbering the activities in the order your child should complete them. If a number is not assigned, then just keep those until the others are finished.

Remember to click that you have completed an assignment.

Send pictures on Classroom or Dojo.

Office Hours will continue every Tuesday and Thursday 1-3pm. This time can be used for questions or showing the completed work or just for the children to say HI, to me or each other.
Here is the link for Office Hours: meet.google.com/mrj-pogk-uvs
Or you can go to the NSE Teacher Information page on the District website and click on Office Hours next to my picture.

Paper Packets have 2 weeks of work so there will not be a pick–up this week. The next time to pick up Packets will be May 1 and May 4 for those of you who signed up for them.

Please keep me in mind if you are feeling overwhelmed or upset. Send me a message and I will help in any way I can. We are in this together!

Thank you all for your participation and comments! Your support and cooperation have been wonderful.

Stay Well!

PLANNED INSTRUCTION WEEK 1

We are moving into Phase II of the Continuing Education Plan. This will begin on Friday, April 17.

Planned instruction means a new skill will be presented each week. There will be assignments on this new material, as well as some review.

This will look different than the last two weeks. Online you will see ELA, Math and Science/Social Studies headings. Under each heading are the lessons and assignments. Please follow the order from top to bottom.

We are now asking if you can either submit the work from Google Classroom or take a picture of it and send it through Classroom or on Dojo. Most of you are doing this already! Moving into this phase means we are looking for engagement or an attempt to complete some of the work.

This will continue for each week through May, and school will end as scheduled on June 3.

Office Hours will continue every Tuesday and Thursday 1-3pm. This time can be used for questions or showing the completed work or just for the children to say HI, to me or each other.

Paper Packet Pick Up will be April 17 4-6pm and April 20 9-11am. These will contain 2 weeks of work. The new packets will include new skills. There will be pages that will explain the new material. The assignments will be on the new material as well as some review pages. If you could send me a picture on Dojo or just let me know that the work is complete, that would be great. I will be checking in with you too.

Make this as easy for yourself as possible. I do not want anyone to get frustrated or upset. If something is not working please let me know and I will help or find help as soon as I can.

Thank you for your continued support and cooperation!

For those of you who may not remember how to log on...Go to the North Schuylkill website, find classlink. Once there, sign in with your ID # and the password nse##### (nse and ID# together).

Then if it asks you to sign into the gapps account, use the same username and password.

You should find our classroom.

Good Luck and if anyone needs any help. Please let me know.

You may complete these using a plain sheet of paper and pencil and copy the work from the screen or if you want to, some of the activities can be printed. Printing is not necessary. Do whatever is most comfortable for you. :)
