The blue vocabulary word notebook will stay in your child’s book bag. Please review the words but it is not necessary to read all of them every day. Concentrate on the last page or two. Thank you!

Spelling test will be given tomorrow. Study the words in the tan notebook if your child needs to take the final test.

The reading book comes home on Tuesday. Read “Life in the Forest” and review the pages prior to the story. Review phonics skills (long u/consonant/silent e, long e/consonant/silent e and suffix –ed words) and vocabulary words.

Subtraction facts to 20 continues… As always, check over the pages in the take-home folder. If any corrections need to be made, do so and send it back the following day.

Report cards are coming home this week. Please keep the paper report, it is yours. The envelope must be signed and returned as soon as possible.
Book orders are due Friday. Send in order form and payment in an envelope with your child’s name. You may also order online. Use the code that you can find on the front of one of the forms.

Continue to review all pages in the Friday Folder, sign and return any tests that are stamped. These tests are very important to review and return. Also, sign and date the back page of the Folder.

Please keep reading every day. Reading is a homework assignment that all children should be completing each night. Remember to write the books you read on the Reading Log (in the plastic sleeve). Sign and return the page when complete and another one will be sent home.

I hope you have a tremendous week!

Today you should find a Fluent Word Reading worksheet in the Take-Home Folder. Please review this with your child. When you feel your child has mastered the material, sign it and send the page back to school. If your child is having a difficult time, take an extra day or two. I would like to see all papers back by Friday. Thank you for your cooperation.
