November Reading Logs are due this week. Please send in the completed forms. If you are not finished and you don’t think it will be filled by the end of the week, copy all November books onto the December Book Log.

A Decodable Reader will come home Wednesday. Please listen to your child read it and sign the back. The goal is fluency. Write it on the reading log!

The spelling test will be Thursday. Please review the words in the green notebook. New spelling words will not be given until next week.

Awesome job on the comprehension tests! The students read the story by themselves. This week’s assessment will be the same. The written portion of the assessment will also be done together again this week. Please review these when they come home, which won’t be until next week since our tests are on Friday.

Review words in the blue Vocabulary Word notebook. The students read these words orally.

We will continue the lessons in Topic 4. Addition and subtraction will be taught this week using all of the strategies that were taught. If a page comes home with errors that were not corrected in class, please correct and return the next school day. Thank you for your cooperation.

Homework is always to read every night with your child. Have your son/daughter read to you and you read to them. Their reading skills will only get better with practice.

-Don’t forget that our room is chilly at times. Please send in a jacket, sweatshirt or sweater WITHOUT a hood.

-We will be going outside for recess unless it is raining or below 40 degrees so send your son/daughter with weather appropriate clothing.

**Review Friday Folder material. Sign the back page and return on Monday.**

I hope you have an amazing week!

You should be very proud of your child’s comprehension tests. Most of the class did really well reading the story independently. Remember to help your child gain comprehension skills, continue to have them read to you and ask them questions about it when they finish.
