Welcome to Online Learning

Hey All!

I know that a few of you have already logged on and got started with some of our online school work. Great!

For those of you who may not remember how to log on...Go to the North Schuylkill website, find classlink. Once there, sign in with your ID # and the password nse##### (nse and ID# together).

Then if it asks you to sign into the gapps account, use the same username and password.

You should find our classroom.

Good Luck and if anyone needs any help. Please let me know.

You may complete these using a plain sheet of paper and pencil and copy the work from the screen or if you want to, some of the activities can be printed. Printing is not necessary. Do whatever is most comfortable for you. :)

This Week's Happenings

3/9/20

Monday: Day 8 > Art
Tuesday: Day 1 > Phys. Ed.
Wednesday: Day 2 > Library
Thursday: Day 3 > Music
Friday: Day 4 > Art

In Language Arts…The spelling pretest was taken today. This week we will concentrate on long u-consonant-silent e words, also, the –ed suffix. If your child brings home the spelling notebook, please make sure they are writing any misspelled words 3 times each. On FRIDAY, the final test will be taken.

Review the vocabulary words in the blue notebook. A new set of words will be written this week. I will be listening to the children read Story 4 words to me this week.

A decodable reader will be sent home on Wednesday. Your child should read this to you several times until it becomes fluent. Please sign and return it.

We are really working on reading comprehension. After your child reads a story, chapter or a few pages, ask him/her some questions to make sure he/she understands what he/she read.

Keep working on our reading strategies. As you listen to your child read, use the paper that was sent home to review these strategies.

Math…Time and Measurement continues with time to the half hour this week. Digital clocks will be introduced. We will be reviewing hour and playing some games with both hour and half hour times.

If you have completed your reading certificate for Newspaper In Education, send it in by Friday.

-Homework is to listen to your child read any book he/she is interested in every day and then add it to your reading log.

Please sign and date the page on the back of the Friday Folder, thank you!

I hope you have a divine week!

Monday (3/16) will be Day 5 > Phys. Ed.
