In Language Arts… Keep reviewing the vocabulary words in the green notebook.

Spelling homework is Monday and Tuesday. Please make sure your child writes any word that was misspelled on the pretest 3 times each. Final test will be on Wednesday.

A Decodable Reader will be coming home on Tuesday. Please have your child read this story to you several times to achieve fluency.

Remember, when listening to your child read, use the strategies that we have been working on in school. Refer to the page sent home.

Math…Topic 8 – Tens and Ones >Review day on Thursday. We will assess the skills we learned on Friday. Continue to look over the pages.

Focus on the flashcards. Three more students reached our fluency goal! Keep practicing. They are doing a super job.


-Homework is to read any book your child is interested in every day and then add it to your reading log. Reading logs are due on Thursday.

-Book orders are due Wednesday.

-Ask your child about the Bloomsburg University students that presented a lesson on a Dr. Seuss book on Friday.

Continue to focus on the flashcards. We had our first Fluency check last week. There will be many more. Three students already met the Proficient goal! Those students will now begin the Advanced Fluency check. You will not see these papers come home. The way to assure your child has success is to keep practicing the math facts.
