In Language Arts… Keep reviewing the vocabulary words in the blue notebook.
Decodable readers are homework for Tuesday. Listen to your child read this to you until they have fluency. They should be able to read the whole story without sounding out the words or making errors.
Spelling test will be Wednesday. Please review the list if your child is taking the test.
Continue working on reading comprehension. After your child reads a story or chapter, ask some questions about what was read.
Remember, when listening to your child read, use the strategies that we have been working on in school. Refer to the page sent home.
Math…Please review the flashcards in the envelope. Return the Flashcard Envelopes each day.
Unit 6 is Time and Measurement. The students will be telling time to the hour and half hour. Measurement will come later in the unit.
Since we have been discussing careers in class, if there is anyone who would like to come in and present their job/career, just let me know.
The PTO Chinese Auction is approaching. At this time, I received 3 donations for our basket, thank you for those. The theme of our basket is Gardening. If you would rather send in a monetary donation, I will shop for items.
-Homework is to read any book your child is interested in every day and then add it to your reading log.
