Friday: Day 3 > Music Class
In Language Arts… Keep reviewing the vocabulary words in the green notebook. Most of the students knew every Book 2 word! If your child has a card stapled in the front cover, please review those words along with the new Book 3 words.
New Spelling words will be given on Tuesday. Every misspelled word on the Spelling pre-test must be written 3 times each. This will be a total of 3 nights of homework this week (no homework on the weekend except to study). The final test on these words will be next Monday.
A decodable reader will come home on Friday. Please listen to your child read it. He/she should be able to sound out all words in the book.
Remember, when listening to your child read, use the strategies that we have been working on in school. Refer to the page sent home.
Math…Topic 5 is wrapping up this week. Look for the Reteaching page on Thursday to review for the test on Friday. The last set of flashcards will be added to the envelopes. Please review the math pages and flashcards. Return the Flashcard Envelopes each day.
-Homework is to read any book your child is interested in every day and then add it to your reading log.
