Friday: Day 9 > Computer Class

*Friday is a half day for students – dismissal at 11:45.

A Decodable Reader will be sent home on Tuesday. Read this with your child and sign the back. This should be returned on Wednesday. Spelling, Phonics and Comprehension skills will be assessed on Thursday. Review words in both notebooks, green for spelling, blue for vocabulary.


Look for a Reading Strategy Reference List to come home in the Friday Folder. This will help you use the same language for reading as we do in school.


Subtraction continues as our topic in Math. These lessons will focus on stories about taking away, missing parts and comparing. Review the pages and correct any errors for homework.


October Reading Logs were sent home. If your child did not receive one, he/she did not hand in a September Log. September Logs that were incomplete were sent back to use those books on the next month’s log. Just copy and write them on the new log.


Homework: 1. Read with your student or let them read to you. 2. Decodable Reader – Tuesday: read and send back. 3. Spelling Test on Thursday- review in Green Notebook if necessary 4. Review words in the Blue Notebook 5. Look over any math pages that are in the Take-Home Folder, correct errors and return.


**Review Friday Folder material. Sign the back page and return on Monday.**
