Thursday: Day 6 > Library Class
Friday: Day 7 > Phys. Ed. - $1 Dress Down Day
In Language Arts…If your child brings home the green Spelling notebook, then he/she should be studying the words for the test next week. Written homework will be on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday.
Keep reviewing the vocabulary words. New words will be added on Wednesday. If your child has a stapled card inside the front cover, these are the words that should be practiced more frequently.
On Friday, a Decodable Reader will be homework for all students. Please listen to your child read this to you several times for fluency (reading smoothly with expression). If your child is in a Green or Yellow Reading Group, you must sign and return the reader. (Your child knows his/her reading group color.) This is exactly what we did last week. I had cooperation from almost every parent, thank you!
Remember, when listening to your child read, use the strategies that we have been working on in school. Refer to the page sent home.
Math…Unit 2 Assessment will be on Wednesday. The journal is yours to keep and review. We will add to our fact flashcards this week. Please keep practicing these.
-Homework is to read any book your child is interested in every day and then add it to your reading log. At this time, your child needs to read the books to you, so if you are in need of books on his/her level send me a note or message.
-We will be going outside for recess when the temperature is above 40 degrees. Please dress your child accordingly.
