Tuesday: Day 4 > Computer Class 100th Day of School
Wednesday: Day 5 > Art Class
Thursday: Day 1 > Music Class
Friday: Day 2 > Phys. Ed.
Compound words, suffixes (-less, -ness, -ly) and digraphs ai and ay are the new concepts in phonics for this week. You will listen to the children read the words on the front and the words in the box on the back. Remember to sign the paper after you hear the words. We will complete the back in class.
On Thursday, the Reading book will come home. The students should read "Who Works Here?".
There will be a new Spelling List this week. Please review these words for the test on Friday. The Spelling tests will be sent home from now on. Look over any misspelled words. These do not need to be returned.
A Decodable Reader will come home to be read for homework this week. It will be in the green folder. Have the children read this to you and then ask them a few questions about it.
We started Topic 7 Counting and Number Patterns to 120 last week. This topic is very different than the first 6. Please review any pages that come home. Skip counting will be reviewed, 2s, 5s, and 10s along with number patterns and the hundred chart.
