In Language Arts… Keep reviewing the vocabulary words in the blue notebook.

A decodable reader is in the take-home folder today. Please listen to your child read this to you until it becomes fluent. When your child can read it smoothly, with expression and no errors or hesitation.

Spelling Test is on Tuesday. Please review the words if your child is taking the test. No written homework this week.

Remember, when listening to your child read, use the strategies that we have been working on in school. Refer to the page sent home.

Math…Please review the flashcards in the envelope. Return the Flashcard Envelopes each day.

Assessing Unit 4 on Friday. Continue to look over any pages that come home.

-Book Orders are due on Friday, February 1.

-Please work on tying shoe laces. We will practice in school but it would really help if it was reinforced at home.

-Homework is to read any book your child is interested in every day and then add it to your reading log.

Friday: Day 1 > Keyboarding

In Language Arts… Keep reviewing the vocabulary words in the blue notebook. I will be listening to the students read the latest set of words this week. This is an easy 100% toward their reading grade as long as you practice them. Most students have been doing well, so please keep it up .

Spelling Pretest is Tuesday. If your child brings home the green notebook, he/she has written homework for each day of the week. The final test will be next week.

Remember, when listening to your child read, use the strategies that we have been working on in school. Refer to the page sent home.

Math…Please review the flashcards in the envelope. Return the Flashcard Envelopes each day.

Continuing Unit 4 – review any pages that come home, concentrate on adding two digit numbers and greater than and less than.

-Please work on tying shoe laces. We will practice in school but it would really help if it was reinforced at home.

*Remember to keep the pledges coming for the Fun Run. Wear sneakers, sweats and an NS t shirt on Thursday. (Phys. Ed. Dress Code)

Unit 4 began today. In this unit we will use concrete and picture models to compose numbers to 20 as tens and ones. We will also use symbols to show greater than and less than.

**ELECTRONICS DAY FOR THE PBIS REWARD – As last time, the students may bring in an electronic device with your permission.
