In Language Arts… Keep reviewing the vocabulary words in the blue notebook. I will be listening to the children read this last set of words this week.
A decodable reader will come home today. Please listen to your child read it several times for fluency. He/she should be able to read all words in the book. Yellow and Green Group Students need to get this signed after reading it and send it back to school.
Spelling test is on Wednesday. Please review the words if your child is taking the test.
Our first Reading Book is complete this week. Your child is bringing home Unit 1 to read these stories to you. You may add these stories to the reading log. Please return the book by Friday.
New spelling words will be pretested on Thursday. If your child brings home the green notebook, these words need to be reviewed and the final test will be next week. Written homework will also be next week.
Remember, when listening to your child read, use the strategies that we have been working on in school. Refer to the page sent home.
Math…We will add new facts to our pile. Please review the flashcards in the envelope. Return the Flashcard Envelopes each day.
